Consultation to European Investment Bank eligible investments

Piraeus Bank, with the active cooperation of Piraeus Real Estate (PRE), acting as an Urban Development Fund (UDF), has managed approximately € 40 million coming from the JESSICA Portfolio Fund – Greece, and funded eight urban development projects at Regions of Central Macedonia and Thessaly.

JESSICA (Joint European Support for Sustainable Investment in City Areas) is an initiative of the European Commission in cooperation with the European Investment Bank (EIB) and the Council of Europe Development Bank (CEB). It supports urban regeneration projects through financial tools.

The total funds allocated to these projects under the JESSICA and Piraeus Bank program amounted to € 42.2 million for the Central Macedonia and Thessaly Regions (over € 12.6 million of the same contribution) while the new job positions (construction and operation) were set at 532 in total.
